Parley Solar

Completed in 2018 in 3 phases, Eco has developed over 380 acres of land into duel use solar and agriculture. Totalling over 70MW, the panels provide enough power to meet the requirements of 27,000 homes.

Eco’s large-scale solar installation at Parley demonstrates how renewable energy infrastructure can be delivered responsibly while maximising land value and environmental benefit. The South Coast’s favourable sunlight levels and long daylight hours enable the site to generate consistent, low-carbon electricity, supporting energy security and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Designed as a true dual-use landscape, the Parley solar array allows ongoing sheep grazing beneath and between the panels, ensuring the land remains productive while maintaining its rural character. Quiet, efficient and unobtrusive, the scheme provides long-term, cost-stable power while contributing meaningfully to the region’s transition to a resilient, low-carbon energy system.
