Soil health is the continued capacity for soil to function as a vital living ecosystem that sustains plants, animals and humans. It connects stakeholder needs and sustainable supply-chain management.
The health of soil arises from favourable interactions of all soil components that belong together, as in microbiota, plants and animals.
Eco has been an industry expert in the production and supply of topsoil since 1997. During this period Eco has supplied soil to thousands of construction, landscaping and horticultural projects.

Pioneering Processes
With over 1,000 tonnes of daily processing capacity, we use our technical knowledge and vast experience to continually invested in state-of-the-art equipment. This ensure that customer and ecological demands are consistently met.
As with all of Eco’s operations, where technology allows, we have invested in low carbon power sources to ensure that the soil is manufactured with the lowest possible impact on the environment.
In 2022, Eco has invested over £1.2 million in a dedicated aggregate washing facility, producing thousand more tonnes of high-quality recycled aggregate, significantly increasing the amount of recycled material and further reducing the carbon impact of operations.
Stringent Quality Control
Eco’s dedicated and trained team of operators and technicians follow robust Quality Protocols to ensure that all of Eco’s soils are produced to meet BS3882:2015 certification. All products are tested monthly by leading soil scientest, Tom O’Hare, to ensure quality remains consistent.
1. Muck Away / Soil Tipping
Local construction companies and landscapers dispose of their unwanted soil with Eco. Our expert team have stringent checks to ensure we only receive quality material.
2. Blending & Screening
The received soil material is blended with our flagship product, Eco Mix, to add organic matter. It is then screened to either 10mm or 15-20mm to produce our SuperSoil range.
3. Distribution
We then sell SuperSoil and SuperSoil Coarse through loose load or in our Eco Bulk Bags
Quality Output
Eco offer a wide variety of loose or bagged soil, which will meet the standards of the most selective of architects or landscapers. Our SuperSoil range of soils is tested monthly by leading UK soil scientist Tim O’Hare. With the organic matter of Eco Mix added to the product, our SuperSoils are ready to go and will help plants establish quickly; no need for artificial fertilisers.
