With 5 million tonnes of biowaste still being disposed of in UK lanfills, it's urgent that we get biowaste into a proper treatment process for two reasons:
1. Greenhouse gas abatement
2. To harness the resources that biowaste can provide
The UK's Net Zero Emissions by 2050 can only hope to be achieved in challenging this existing process of green waste management.
At Eco, we take in approximately 60,000 tonnes of organic garden waste each year. It is at the core of what we do, and has been since day one.
We collect this biowaste from a number of local council household waste sites as well as from waste disposal companies on a contractual basis. In addition, we also accept green waste from the large network of local landscape gardeners thanks to our competitive disposal rate.
