Model donation as Eco helps out popular tourist attraction
ORGANICS recycling company Eco Sustainable Solutions has received a public pat on the back after donating half a tonne of playground chip to a popular Dorset attraction.
The Parley-based firm arranged for Wimborne Model Town to receive free supplies of its blend of soft and hardwood log chippings after being contacted by Greg Hoare, General Manager.
The playground chip is being used in the attraction’s popular Wendy Street, a specially enclosed play area for younger visitors.
Wimborne Model Town annually attracts thousands of people with its recreation of Wimborne in the 1950s.
Opened in 1951, the 1/10th scale models feature over 100 shop window displays as well as the town's famous Minster Church.
Mr Hoare said Eco's donation was "greatly appreciated."
He added: "As a registered charity we rely on the generosity and goodwill of many individuals, companies and organisations. Eco's actions are a marvellous example of the support we receive from all sections of the community."
Peter Hardy, Eco's Commercial Director, said: "We receive many requests for help from good causes and non profit-making organisations. If we can assist we will, as was the case here."
