Eco promotes Tomasz to Site Supervisor at Weymouth depot

TOMASZ Wiwer has been appointed as Site Supervisor at Eco Sustainable Solutions' Weymouth depot.

The promotion comes a year after Tomasz joined Eco's Parley depot near Christchurch as a site operative, initially shredding green waste.

In his new role, Tomasz is responsible for the running of Eco's Weymouth operation which was officially opened in 2009.

The depot, off Preston Beach Road, cost more than a quarter of a million pounds and was built by Eco in partnership with Weymouth & Portland Borough Council and Dorset County Council (DCC).

It is permitted to accept up to 18,000 tonnes of green and wood waste from DCC within the local area as well as commercial companies.

The material is recycled into premium products for resale including Eco's super soil, enriched soil, mulches, composts, top dressing, barks, woodchips and turf.

Before joining Eco, Tomasz worked as a sales assistant and a warehouse manager for a Polish food store in Bournemouth.

A keen football fan - his favourite team is Barcelona but he follows and supports Southampton FC - Tomasz enjoys Japanese cooking and spending time with his family.

Trelawney Dampney, Eco's Managing Director, said: "Wherever possible we try and promote from within. Tomasz is a hard-working and valuable member of our team who I know will do a great job for us at Weymouth."
